Note to my son

I sense a transformation happening. 

A transformation of consciousness as you navigate adolescence. As a parent, it’s uncomfortable. I feel a strong ego pull in the desire to know what’s “right” for You. Whatever version of you I was familiar with is all but a memory. I see your hero’s journey starting to unfold. The challenge now is learning how to lead effectively while giving you room to grow as an individual. To Collaborate in the development of your well-being and evolution.  

I often reflect deeply on the best way to do this with intention, honor, love, and support. It’s a delicate balance that requires constant care and awareness. To create the best conditions for you to thrive. I’ve realized that I can do this best by becoming a better version of myself. It’s hard to know if my words reach you, but I always feel you watching, so with that,  I will continue to role model the way.
